mischief managed

although i am not the biggest fan of halloween, i decided to suck it up and participate this year. however, the rest of london did not.

in the states, the entire month of october is dedicated to hanging fake spider webs on things and carving pumpkins. you buy your candy, your costumes, and your decorations weeks ahead of time. kids map out the best houses to score king sized bars.

in london, i saw approximately 3 children dressed up. no one even acknowledged it was halloween weekend until friday. there were no halloween decorations in store windows or costume pop-up stores. if i'm going to celebrate halloween, i'm going to celebrate halloween the right way.

so, on friday, mo and i went to a shop that was selling creepy cupcakes called "eat your heart out". the cupcakes all looked like organs, eyeballs, bugs, etc. and they were so creepy! we each bought a scary cupcake and a cute cake pop, and then headed to the park so we could eat them next to the fall leaves. cute!

[my cupcake was bleeding!]

[mo's cake pop jumped off the stick and landed on the ground...rip]

then, yesterday was actual halloween, so mo and i got all dressed up to go with the group from sabrina's house to the ministry of sound, a club not too far from our house. it was fun but all of us girls were wearing heels from hell so we didn't last too long.

[they don't really dress up like we do in america...
it's either crazy or gory. you can see what we each chose]

it was a good weekend and i'm glad we could show the uk how americans do halloween!
